Tokyo Lights is both the title of Astrolab's new 5-track EP and the flagship track of these new compositions. The song evokes an intimate and universal journey through the discovery of a city with an overflowing and confusing energy that acts as a revelation of a loneliness in love, amplified by the distance and the loss of reference points. The EP as a whole proposes an itinerary leading to distant destinations with a series of tracks inviting to the discovery of new horizons as well as to introspection.
Musically, Astrolab pursues its quest for an incisive and melodic electro rock sound, as pop as it is aggressive, favouring the noisy guitars and the soaring and enveloping synths that characterise the atmosphere of the band's tracks.
